URL forwarding

URL Forwarding allows you to redirect traffic from your domain name to another URL (Uniform Resource Locator). This is a useful alternative for people with internet dialup accounts who don't wish to buy a fully fledged web hosting package. In simple terms, URL forwarding enables you to resolve your domain name to your free web hosting space provided to you by your ISP or other provider.

At Kramtek Computing we offer two types of URL forwarding and the standard option is free of charge.

  • Standard URL forwarding

    This service redirects visitors to the destination URL and shows the actual URL in the address bar of the browser.

  • Premium URL forwarding

    The premium service redirects visitors to the destination URL and retains the domain name (www.your_domain_name.com), rather than the destination URL, in the address bar.

Email Forwarding

If you don't want to set up a hosting account for a website but would still like to receive email at your domain (e.g. info@your_domain_name.com) then email forwarding may be the solution you're looking for. Email sent to addresses at your domain would then automatically be redirected to an email account such as yahoo_address@yahoo.com.au

Email forwarding is a great way to present a consistent corporate ID to your customers and is available at an affordable price.

Email Forwarding is not an email box with an allocation of disc space and a username and password like a POP3 Account. If you intend to buy Web Hosting for your domain name you do NOT need email forwarding, email functions are included free in the Web Hosting Account.
